    Hi Jo Han,

Wow…it sounds like you’re really serious about leaving your legacy behind. If there’s one thing I really want to learn from you, I’d be very interested in learning your hypnotic language patterns. I know you don’t talk about hypnosis much, but I know you do use Ericksonian patterns both online and offline. My friend attended a recent internet conference in Singapore, and she said you literally hypnotized the entire auditorium full of people and lead them by the hundreds in your ‘close’, and this is not the first time you have done so either. That is true ‘mass control’ my friend, and I want to learn it from you.

  2. Hey Jo Han

I guess the thing that gets me the most about copywriting is how so much information can be derived from one product and still make it sound interesting.

So I’d love to know how that’s done

    To your health

  3. If there’s something I’d like to learn from you, it’s the way you’re able to come up with creative words and phrases…the similes, metaphors, analogies…that turns it into something truly hypnotic.

And what kind of planning do you do before writing a salescopy… and how do you plan out stories to write for your copy.

There’re a lot more I’d like to squeeze out of your brain…but guess there are many others with questions for you too.

    Jo Han,
I’ve enjoyed your previous material very much. Preserving your legacy is a difficult, but noble task. As anyone know who has tried it, copy writing is incredibly mind-intensive when done at a high level….each act of writing copy for an article, blog, tweet, email, content, etc. etc. requires concentration. Breaking concentration to look something up is counter-productive. Putting your legacy in the form of an over-the-shoulder application which could prompt/guide you during writing…without requiring a break in concentration….would be incredibly helpful. Typical expert systems can be boiled down to between 50 and 100 if-then-else rules. Your legacy is preserved by making these if-then-else rules accessible to folks much less talented than you in the copy writing arena.

  5. Don’t know about speech patterns only about sincerity and belief in the product. Life is not all about making money with a fast buck and not delivering whats promised with so many people in ALL walks of life and Trades, Not just internet marketing. I would want people to respect me and learn from what I had to offer. Good copy is essential, but it must be backed up with the Goods as advertised. I get overloaded with junk from marketeers saying that they can offer me a good deal only to find its rehashed material from someone else. Any seller MUST have Guarantee’s in place, whatever it is. Too many on the internet are not delivering the goods and its turning people off. A simplistic system of getting a web page and business up and running designed before you pay for domains and hosting is what is required especially if you do not understand the technicalities of computer speak. How many people dash out and get a domain and hosting and paying for it because your told its easy up and running in two hours. Better to plan your website AND PaGES off line first!! You can spend pounds on Hosting and domains before you are ready and quickly realise you have lost money in the process. Unless you are proficient (I am not)panic and depression sets in.

    Jo Han –

Having access to a duplicatable, almost paint-by numbers process would be of great help. However, learning the reasons behind the steps’ effectiveness would be amazing so we can fine-tune our copy instead of following the mass who simply fill in the blanks. Thanks for all the training you’ve shared over the years, my friend, and have a very Happy New Year!

  7. Dear Jo Han:

I am so glad to hear you and your wife went uninjured…

The one thing I’d want to learn is just this: How can I persuade people enough to move into action?

    Keep well,

    Rick

  9. Hi Jo Han,

One of the things that impresses me the most is the proper use of the english language. Using just the right words and phrases in combination with emphasis and seasoned with just the right amount of persuasion, has been where I lack in my own writing skills.

I wish this was not so and if I could learn one thing, it would be that.

    Thanks,
    Mike

I would like to see a step-by-step procedure on how you create a sample copy about a product — the type of copy that really draws the reader in and makes them want to get and use the product.

When you start on a copywriting task, what are all the steps you use to create the amazing copy? It would be helpful to see a specific example of Product X, how you go about constructing and shaping the copy for Product X, and the actual text that you have created at the end.

    Thanks & all the best!

    Jo Han,

The wide range of abilities of a great copywriter and speaker are many, and there is much that the rest of us can learn – but if you take that bowl of knowledge (just as a bowl of soup) and pour it into the hands of the needy, we only get our hands wet…

So, a structured lesson describing what works and what doesn’t — with reasons for why it works (with a variety of actual examples), and vice versa, why the typical attempts used by most of us do not work (also with examples for comparison sake).

I recently read a new ebook on copywriting/salesmanship principles that I have gathered more knowledge from than years of previous books/lessons/seminars — but, it still doesn’t go into enough detail of the, why and why not with proven examples.

  12. Dear Jo Han,

First of all thanks for all the products you put out. And great that you were lucky enough to survive in one piece!

I have your writing course, got the one with the vincent james manual, but have not seen it yet. I am interested in the use of metaphores and other non liniair techniques to convince people.

Hope you do well and have no other rendevous with your final destiny for a healthy long time.

    Greetings Henry

How do you transform a simple, normal person, from where the person is to where you are right now? From A Rags to Riches transformation….A Millionaire or a Billionaire….has something that others don’t, what’s your formula for the transformation ?

And a simple thought “What shall be your Survival SKills despite of what situation, you still survive through and get your bank loaded with CASH…?”

And 2nd Thought ” What’s your Marketing Skills that made you TruckLoads of CASH anytime?”

Gee…do it sound too simple for Johan to leave a legacy ?

  14. I am totally amazed with the knowledge and expertise that you produce and perfect products.

God is definitely not ready to take you yet. You are to valuable to him here on earth.

Something I probably should not say, but I’m going to anyway. You and Alvin Phang (both of Asian descent) are the only two guru’s that seem to care about their fans.

Now, just do an ABC-123 learning thing & I’ll be a happy camper. Make like everybody out here in newbie land are all in kindergarten and walk us through the simplest setups for websites or blogs.

I’m 70, educated, not senile but most of the site setups and blog info is put in wording that is not simple enough for me, must less for the uneducated (many who become guru’s).

So, thank you and please continue your work.

    Hi,

The most important thing for me is to learn how to be successful altogether.

    Wen Qi.

  16. Dear Jo Han,

The ONE thing that i want to learn about this is :

undirect persuasion, in another word is phsychology of selling that touch people emotion using by hipnotic words as you used in online so far.

    Have a great day,

    Osman put it quite sharply.

The key isn’t to figuring out how to use any formulas that was taught in the past. Many people know AIDA, but still not many people can write extremely good copy. So it means there’s something more to it.

The way you think while writing copy? What you focus on throughout your writing, what’s going in your mind, what’s the psychology or aim… How do you typically pour them out into words, etc.

I think Gary Halbert left a word of legacy in my mind… and it’s “Specificity.”

What is the ONE thing I want to learn, above all other else?

The specifics of writing copy which isn’t a lesson, but a “passing on.”

This may be sensitive, but I believe you’ll get it the right way:
“How would you want to pass everything you know to your child, if you’re no longer here tomorrow?”

  18. Hi Jo Han,

I want to know how to frame buyer’s mind.

    Great post,

Congrats on surviving the crash and making it back home safe and home.

The one thing which I want to learn is the master the skill of “amazing moneymaking skill of turning words into cash” which you have written in your blog entry.

How true, a good tool to use for paper planning is XSitePro, it allow publishing to the PC harddisk and you can actually test drive the navigation.

Back to copywriting, I am just thinking about a virtual Johann Mok in front of me,
asking me questions about the product I am planning to unleash on the market and creating the copy in the process. Yes a virtual copy writing guru which I can interact with in front of the big screen would be good.

I want to start on a blank sheet of paper with you, Johann.

  26. Hi Johan

There will be writings and there will be writings. Writings that touches the heart will always leave deep impressings and lasting memory. Is this tantamount to hypnotic delivery – in a way, it is.

This is what I am lookin for.

Thank you for taking time to read my humble feedback. Hope you and your spouse are on the mend to better health.
