hey, I like this in particular: “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.”
Still wondering why information product is the way forward?

    Thanks Jo Han..

“PERFECTIONISM is spelled PARALYSIS” – Winston Churchill

This is the perfect quote to reflect my problem… I am too much of a perfectionist and I want to know everything before I get started on anything…

Hence, up until now I am still not making anything online!

  3. This happens to me my personal favourite:

“Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.” – Henry Ford

    empowering isn’t it?

  4. Harry Foresman Sr

    you forgot one

” it is better to have loved and lost,
then to never have loved at all”

  5. My favorite quote :

“Simple things should be simple, Complex thing should be possible! ”

    Yeahh….

    YUAN

  6. Here’s one of my favorites you may like to add to you’re list…
“Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don’t recognize them.”

    — Ann Landers

I got to hear her speak at our school a long time ago, she was an amazing woman who became a part of our lives thru her daily column.

“He who hesitates is last.” – Mae West

I hesitated.. and almost missed out on your offer
    for your 60minstofreedom package.

When the offer re-opened, I didn’t hesitated at all..

I was lucky to be back in!

and I think this is the best thing I’ve done so far!

    Thank YOU, Jo Han!

  8. We have all heard most of these in the past but how often have we taken that knowledge and used it??

Its all so relevent to a good lifestyle not just business and just so very true if only we take notice and respond to what we know but generally ignore.

I shall print some out for the kids and leave them one at a time where they will come across them unexpectedly.

In fact I’ll do the same for me.

    Thanks Jo Han

  9. “Your most important sale in life is to sell yourself to yourself.” – Maxwell Maltz

Everything in life is somehow related to sales. Our own inner critic can often be our worst enemy.

We must believe in order to achieve.

Thanks for sharing so many wise words of wisdom Jo Han :-)

  10. I love this quote…”Never Confuse motion with action.” Ernest Hemingway. I heard someone say once He is the busiest laziest person I have ever seen. It goes to show you just because you are going through the motions doesn’t mean you are taking action. Action is the key to your success.
I also appreciated “common sense is a rare as genius.”-Ralph Waldo Emerson because I own two businesses and one of my favorite sayings is there is nothing common about sense.
I would like to leave you with one of my favorite quotes “Success is a Journey, not a destination.”

I’ve been collecting quotations that are meaningful to me, as well. One of my favorites is:

“If everything seems under control, you’re not going fast enough.”
    - Mario Andretti

And on a more serious note:

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.
    - Edmund Burke

Thanks for the post. I’ve added it to my bookmarks in Del.icio.us and copied many of the quotations into my “words of wisdom” folder.

This was a good inspirational list to read first thing this morning–it made me stop reading my other emails, and go start the project I had planned for this morning!

When it comes to perfectionism and paralysis, my personal favorite is:
“Anything worth doing, is worth doing poorly”.
If it’s truly worth doing–just do it! If you won’t attempt a project because you don’t think you have the skill to do it ‘perfectly’–then you’ll never perfect your skill!

And this from the late Gary Halbert: “Nothing is impossible for a person who refuses to listen to reason”.

Thanks for your list and other help.

  15. common sense is as rare as genius. True True if we all used common sense we just might reveal genius in each of ourselves

  16. Of course, this one would be my cornerstone -

“Common sense is as rare as genius.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

But I appreciate many, if not most of these!

    And this one -

“Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.” -Winston Churchill

is unfortunately too true in today’s world. Sigh…

    Thanks for sharing!

I am one of the new members, and this time I will not get analysis paralysis as I have done many times in the last few years. Thanks for the quotes. I have no specific favorite for they are all good. One in particular has meaning for me today, “Nothing is so exhausting as indecision, and nothing is so futile.” – Bertrand Russell. Thanks!

  19. Excellent post!

Some very inspirational quotes, including a long time favorite of mine-

“100% of the shots you don’t take don’t go in.” – Wayne Gretzky

    Thanks for sharing.

  20. Energy can not be oblivated from exsistance, and absolute power is boreing, no doubt why we made this illusion of reality, nothing can be proven beyond the shadow of doubt or the game of life would bore us as we are in our real state.
I am you and you are me we are all different parts of the same energy that is everything that exsists, knowing it all allows us to realise that life is nothing more than a fantisy made by us for us to enjoy the feelings that come along with the illusion of humanity. How do you know without any doubt that your not makeing your illusion of life up as you go along? For all you realy know nothing is any more real than that body you think is you.

  21. Hi Jo Han, I like this one:

“Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted, and the trouble is I don’t know which half.” – John Wanamaker

pretty much sums up 99% of all marketers. I don’t know who the lucky 1% is….

    Nice post and good list.

  22. Hi Jo Han, This one would be my favorite..

“Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted, and the trouble is I don’t know which half.” – John Wanamaker

This pretty much sums up 99% of all marketers. Whoever the other 1% is, is either very lucky or spends too much money on advertising to care…

i want to mok ‘s favorite business to Quotes

  24. Hey Jo Han,

Thanks! That’s a lot of inspiration all thrown at us, very inspiring indeed.
Fact is that most, if not all, of these quotes really plays an important part in shaping
our thinking! Very often we feel like giving up but then when you come across a quote like this…

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost
almost 300 games. I’ve failed over and over and over again
in my life. And that is why I succeed.” (Michael Jordan)

…then you begin to reconsider success.
