The No #1 Problem Faced By Internet Entrepreneurs (Part 2)

Sep 25th, 2008 by Jo Han Mok | 10

Are you ready to eradicate your cashflow worries once and for all?

I have a specific strategy that may help.

It’s not difficult, nor is it rocket science.

It is however, contrarian, and may challenge your existing beliefs about money.

After all, who hasn’t heard of, “An honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work”?

The strategy that I’m about to share, turns what you ‘know’ on its end.

Empowered with this strategy, we’re talking about being able to be in the highly enviable position to produce “income at will”.

To be able to put money in your bank account within minutes, hours, or a few days.

And I’m talking about jackpot, windfall type figures that will help you more than get through get through any temporary cash crunches and the demanding financial constraints you face this moment.

So what is the seemingly ‘magical’ strategy that I’m about to share which can yield such wonderful upside benefits?

Simple.

Think “Internet Windfall Creation”.

Seems obvious isn’t it?

Since what you need is a rapid cash influx to get you out of a ‘tight spot’, why not just focus on creating a ‘jackpot’ for yourself?

After all…isn’t the shortest distance between two points a straight line?

Short term gains are absolutely vital for you to be able to thrive long term.

I don’t know about you, but for me, slow and steady is a recipe for failure.

Short term, infrequent, intense projects can yield cash bonanzas that give you more time off to recharge yourself and to come back more focused and productive.

As far as I’m concerned this paradigm shift is not just regarded as a superior approach in business.

Sport scientists all around the world have validated the fact that intensive short bouts of cardio gives your heart a better workout, burn more fat and yields more cardio benefits than riding a bike mindlessly for hours.

Bodybuilder Mike Mentzer revolutionized the bodybuilding world when he adapted the training techniques of Arthur Jones and advocated that bodybuilders CAN have a life outside of the gym and still get amazing results simply by adopting the short, intensive, infrequent training sessions.

He stressed:

“When intensity is high, more ‘rest time’ is correspondingly needed. And muscles grow while you rest, not while you train!”

So how do you go about creating your much needed Internet windfall?

Well… it is the one idea that takes the least amount of time and effort to turn into cash right away.

Let me give you an example of one such “Internet Windfall” idea.

The idea here is to turn someone else’s big product launch into your own next big payday.

One thing people either don’t know or tend to overlook is the fact that just because a product is selling well doesn’t mean that people actually want the product.

What I mean by that is this…

How many times have you seen a sales letter for a $97 product for example but were only interested in one or two of the bullets listed in the sales letter?

You would gladly pay $7-$10 just for the few pages that contains the information talked about in those bullets.

Many times, the sales letter isn’t what gets me to buy a product. Most of the time, only certain things a product says it’ll teach me will catch my attention.

With that in mind, whenever you see a product out there selling well you should study the sales letter to see if you can develop a simple report based on one or two of the bullets that catch your eye.

With the $7 Secrets craze going on right now this could easily spark the idea for your next report. Keep your eyes open and look for opportunities.

This gives you an instant link to a product a lot of people will be out there promoting, so not only can you sell them your low-cost front end report but you can back end them on the product that gave you the idea for your short report in the first place.

Just think about it.

If someone is interested enough to buy a report just based off one of the ideas you got from the higher-priced product, you know they should be interested in that product so you have nothing to lose by sending them to the sales letter for it through your affiliate link.

In a way this is like getting paid to presell an affiliate product.

The one thing you need to remember though is that your report needs to stand on its own. It can’t be a sales letter for the affiliate product you want to promote. That will just tick people off.

Make it so that your report does what you told people it would do whether they buy another product or not. Your report has to stand up on it’s own based on the quality of your information.

Read that last line again and always remember it.

Whenever someone does a big product launch (especially the ones where the product costs $495 and up) they’re creating a market of buyers who want the type of information they’re selling.

Many people won’t be able to afford the big price tag but they still want that type of information.

That’s where you can swoop in and pocket some extra cash.

Tying your short (low-cost) report in with a major product launch is an easy way to get paid. Just pay attention to your email and notice when you see a big buzz about a certain product.

Let other people do all the hard work as far as getting people to want certain types of information.

You just step in and profit from their efforts with a short report you already know people want because everybody is already talking about the subject.

This is much more profitable than trying to guess at what to write about.

Makes sense?

Hopefully, this post gets you thinking hard about your next Internet windfall.

In Part 3 of this article, I will reveal even more powerful ‘windfall’ ideas you can take to the bank.

    Hi Jo Han,

I like the idea of a windfall and it excites me to be “in the know” of such potential.

as much as I want to be like a business women and grasp the cashflow opportunities you’ve elaborated above,

    I understood 70% of what you’ve shared.

could someone help to explain the idea simply and in laywomen terms?

    Thanks
I’ll be following to see if someone can explain it in my language
or maybe I’ll get it after re-reading.

The idea is clear and actually I’ve been thinking about it too. For example, Eben Pagan has recently launched a big time course on how to transform your life using focus, time management etc. Its a really big training about all the strategies he used to reduce weight, make millions and get more free time. Now I am sure his course is excellent, except the cost. So if you focus on only a fraction of that course (e.g. how to focus) you can “potentially” bring out your report or even lower cost affiliate products that provide specific answers to that only point.
The problem is that big internet marketers have HUGE lists and they also collaborate with other HUGE lists marketers for example, Frank Kern promoting Mike Filsaime (and vice versa). However, a small, tiny average marketer like me with a tiny list, where do I send that report ? Yes, I can create Squidoo or Hub pages and maybe post on a few forums. But by the time I get some traffic, the buzz will be over and the report or low cost products will lose their edge.
So, even with great internet marketing ideas, the problem remains the same : How to quickly promote it (or get traffic) before the buzz is over, if you don’t have a list.
Creating a list having a critical mass takes much time and effort. small lists are difficult to monetize because they were mainly built on people who wanted to get your free stuff. Most of them will wait for more free stuff, unless :
    (1) You offer them something very low cost that really touches a point (or an urgent need).
    (2) You are a really cool Guru that they must have your next big product or they feel they are missing out on something.
So basically the traffic issue remains.

    Hi an explanation:

step 1 - keep your ear to the ground for new and exciting stuff
step 2 - look at what’s written about it, particulalry the bullet points and benefits
step 3 - choose a couple of bullet points you can write a short report on that is useful inofrmation that would help people the new exciting stuff would help
step 4 - email people on your list, blog about it and get the report known.
step 5 - Get a bit of cash from those who can’t afford $400 and up but can afford between $7 and $14

    Good plan Jo

    Hi Jo Han,
Unlike others, I don’t need to look for a product/service, I have a product that every man would like to have - the ability to “look after himself” - being one of the basic Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs; I can teach any one to hit harder than a black belt, not in 2 yrs or 2 mths but in 2 hrs! Guaranteed!
This is not hocus pocus but based on pure scientific facts. I have been doing martial arts since knee high, taught Hollywood stars, trained with world champions, tested countless blackbelts and instructors for their punching power. Guess what, the average black belt is punching at about 50% to 60% of their full potential!
Now the $64 million question is how do I market it?

If anyone can make it into an overnight success, it has to be you! This is my challenge.

    Sincerely,
    Kim Goh.

It’s a really good idea. The next time one of the big names gets into action so will I.

There might be an issue about plagiarism (copying) if you are not careful. I’m worried I
    might get sued!

How do you get the details of those who do not want to buy? I mean how do you target your audience in this situation?

If it would possible to increase to the mailing list by doing this as well, which it would if given some thought, this could be doubly useful.

That’s a good plan Jo, I think one of the main things I’m hearing is that the person has to be willing to go and do it, not complain they don’t know enough or that its to hard or I don’t have a list. The Marketer must have a willingness to be creative and not expect the huge millions on the first try. It would be great, but until the marketer can create their own product/service, It will always be a struggle to begin with little knowledge of ‘How it’s supposed to work”. I have been on the “trying end for several years, started small and am still working my way up.
An example might be the Pixel ad millionaire. He had a easy idea, with no one else was doing it yet, and he went for it. It wasn’t perfect, kind of cheesey, but he still made his first bit of money from an original idea. The point being ‘Do Something” get started and learn. It takes time and doing.
On a side note Kim Goh, speed hitting, awsome. I am a martial artist myself and have done a bit of speed training myself. My suggestion would be to make a small report on the topic of speed hitting, with an offer for the whole course, or parts of the course. Set up a sales website, or a blog that you update regulairly, and go answer some questions in the forums, maybe even try to get someone like Matt Furey to co sell with you. Main point make a product with your knowledge, maybe a few techniques on video and advertise, advertise, advertise. Use your imagination.

    best of luck to all.

I totally concur with this statement… You have no idea how many times I have fallen for this “trick”. I can see there are many savvy marketers out there who are using this exact technique, feeding the “prey” with useful and yet incomplete information.

    But it works!

Well, that said, I am most certainly interested in the next upcoming product launch that you might have. :)

    Sincerely
    John

    Hey Pierce,
Thanks for your tips. One way or another, I will find a way to market what I know. Knowledge does not apply itself otherwise all the professors will be millionaires! My knowledge on martial arts is deep but not will stay static until I learn how to apply it. As a man, who doesn’t want to double his punching power in 2 hrs?
Maybe one day, Pierce, we can get together and swap some training!
    All the best, everyone.
