Unspoken Million Dollar Marketing Secrets (Part II)
Ok, since I’ve gotten a positive go ahead from the crowd, here’s Part II of my Unspoken Million Dollar Marketing Secrets.
Unspoken Secret #10: If you cannot be famous, be infamous!
Unspoken Secret #11: Tell ‘em WHAT to do, but sell them HOW TO do it.
Unspoken Secret #12: As an Enterepreneur, I’m a team player, as long as you’re playing on my team, the way I want you to!
Unspoken Secret #13: Once you get a taste of the ‘easy cash’ you’ll NEVER go back!
Unspoken Secret #14: As Gordon Gecko from the move “Wall Street” said…”Greed is GOOD!”
Unspoken Secret #15: Money is like toilet paper. It’s always better to have more of it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
Unspoken Secret #16: My favorite game is to see how many times I can get paid for something I did ONE TIME. There are a multitude of ways to play this game, and the more you play it, the better you get.
Unspoken Secret #17: My favorite ‘positioning’ strategy is to telegraph the fact that they need me hell of a lot more than I need them.
Unspoken Secret #18: Go ahead and ‘hurt’ your prospect. Peel back the scab, sprinkle lots of salt and rub the damn thing. Then sell them the medicine that makes the pain go away.
Unspoken Secret #19: My ultimate niche marketing secret is, “It takes one to know one”.
Unspoken Secret #20: “If it doesn’t make us money or save us money, don’t freaking buy it!” - courtesy of my bloody wife.
Unspoken Secret #21: If you sincerely want to be rich, you must figure out how to make money without having to ’sweat it out’ directly.
Here are some ways:
- Get paid on products and results from services - NEVER from number of hours worked.
- Work through other people.
- SCALE whatever is working.
- Seek to establish yourself in a ‘toll-booth’ position.
- Get ‘partners’ to make you the money, and all you have to do is split the cash.
Unspoken Secret #22: Write your ass off, even to the point where you’re redundant and just saying the same thing over and over again.
Continue to do so until you’re sick and tired.
Chip away at everything you’ve worked so hard to write until only the solid stuff remains, then re-write and ‘polish’ it until it sizzles and shines.
My two guiding principles during the re-writing process are:
“Can I say whatever I’m trying to say with fewer words and in a more direct fashion?”
“Can I make whatever I’m saying more exciting?” (I usually hack away at the verbs. For example. “reduce your taxes” becomes “SLASH your taxes!”
Ok that’s it for now. Did I go too far this time round? What was your greatest ‘takeaway’ from this round of ‘unspoken secrets?’

Jo Han,
Great stuff, but I’m curious why you violated “Tell ‘em WHAT to do, but sell them HOW TO do it.” You told us HOW to edit our writing! Is there another principle at work here? Or is that just what came out of your finger tips as you were typing wiht the flow?
Thanks again for the great info and the guiding rules! Rockin’ as always. Stay great, man,
Russell

Ouch, Ya got me skippy, on #22. Damn, and you threw it right in my face.
I am very guilty of Not writing enough to the point of making up excuses to not write.
Guess I need to change my attitude.
Were you angry at the Missis? Bet she doesn’t know you called her your “bloody” wife. He he.
Once again, Thank you Jo Han.

The real nuggets are 9, 11, 13, 15, 21, and maybe 22.
The esteemed AUTHOR (it is obvious) had a good breakfast.
It’s true, “Writing must be a duplicate activity to
panning for gold” slowly, gently, round and round, then
S T O P !! Pick up the nuggets, and SMILE, SMILE, SMILE.
Good job Jo Han.

Jo Han,
I like #11 and #18. They show you have uncommon marketing chops. Give me a niche website based on your unspoken secrets, then we make money together. Good idea right?
